Trip to Galdhøpiggen.

Last week we were on a trip to Galdhøpiggen and some other exciting places in Norway.

First of all we were in Hell.

.

When we came to "Helvete" there was a man, kind of a guide who just told us about the history around the place, what we could see around there and how the place works. After that we went down to the potholes and looked around, it was much water around the area and my waterproof Converse got wet.

After that we were in "Kvitskriuprestinn" '

Kvitskriuprestin is a dirt and rock columns. This is a natural phenomenon, this is happening when rainwater are washing moraine materials, leaving the rocks as big umbrellas covering the columns.

We slept in tent on a camping before we next morning went for rafting in Sjoa.

Not everybody wanted to do this, but it was really funny.
The rafting had different types of grades, hard and easy. This was a wet and very exciting trip. I think that all of the people who did this thought it was fun.

 .

We came back to the camping, took our things back in the bus before we went to a icedrift.

This icedrift are, at the most, 60meters in the mountain. The icedrift are constantly moving and melting. Now, at the end of the seasong it has melted 40 meters.

Then, at the last day we went to Galdhøpiggen. That was kind of the biggest target with the whole trip.

The trip had different types of challenges, first of all it was a long trip on only rocks, then we had to put a rope around our chest, because we walked over a glacier with some cracks that we could fall in. Then we came to the bottom of the hardest part, the last trip to the top.

Galdhøpiggen is 2469 meters above sea level and the highest mountain in Norway. They say that when you are at the top, you can se 1/6 of the country.
It was a very great trip, nice weather and beautiful nature.
